“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Matt 19:35-40
“And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adulteryThou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”
Exodus 20:1-17
So we see the two greatest commandments, and the ten that were given to Moses. Today, Christians believe that they have a free pass to heaven by just believing on Jesus. However, even the demons believe in Jesus, and yet they do not enter heaven? Why is that? That is because to be a Child of God you have to act like it. The Christian today is far from being a Child of God they are more like a child of the world grasping for things they want and need rather than obedience to God and obeying His commands and ordnances. People think that idols are gone today and that Christians today have little to no idols. But the sorry fact is that Christians today have made themselves the idol. God serves them, and God lives to do their will rather than the opposite. Christians today exalt themselves higher and higher while placing the Lord lower and Lower. You claim to have a heart for god yet you’re the God you’re serving. If we are to be real Christians, we need to stop giving this greasy grace–the allowance for trampling over the true doctrine of Jesus Christ that He came to Save the World, not Condemn it. Consider this,  He gave the greatest commandments to show you the need for the Ten Commandments. Do you know how to love God fully with your heart, in the manner that God deserves? Do you know how to love your neighbor as yourself to show that God does exist? The Law is not just there to make sure that we have to suffer, that Law is there to show us the need for Jesus, and how to start behaving like true Christ Followers. No one is perfect, therefore we all need to rely on Jesus to help us achieve becoming more and more like Him! Remove the law from the Bible and you’ve got NO NEED for Jesus to come at all. You’re sorely mistaken if you think that the God of the Old testament has just Vanished into thin air.
Oh ye faithless and accursed people…
Do you not see that fact that Jesus has long since be lost into the swindle and spindle game of the modern Christian? Do you not know that you are devaluing the most amazing grace received by Humanity when you deny the need for Him? People are selfishly blind, and obsessed with their own selves today in the Church and are a disgrace to the name of Christ. We don’t see Christians today, we see Narcissist and backbiter…deluded people who serve themselves before they serve God let alone their brother. There is no need for Jesus, grace will do. There is not need for want, because Gods serves our needs. The world revolves around me and my comfort and my life being the way I want it to be. Self idolization has overrun the Church…thus making an idol. How dare the Church live in such a manner. It will only bring further destruction to itself. You had better return to your first love, or the Bride will be punished. There is severe destruction that happens when the Church falls away. Haven’t you seen Israel’s history? Do you not know the illuminated fact that the Church is falling into the sickened cycle that the Northern kingdom held? Where is the Lion of Judah now? Where is the tribe that was from the lineage of David…where is the heartfelt followers of Him? Where? Where?
You want to know how the Ten Commandments fit into the Two Greatest Commandments?
Let Me splice and Dice so you can see it better.
The Command: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
How to Follow:
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
What it Means: Have now you see how you honor God. Yes, even with a day of rest to spend in delightful worship of the Father and his Son through the Holy spirit. Singing songs, reading the Word, hearing it taught, and learning from the Father about His desire for you. These are the steps in obeying the First and Greatest of Commandments. However, they are just the beginning. Your walk with Jesus is going to be determined on the obedience you have for Him alone, and you cannot just stop with the Law. Because you have to obey, and love. If you do not have the heart of the Law which is LOVE, you will fail in obeying the law.
Commandment: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
How to Follow:
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not commit adultery
Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s
What It Means: These are just a sample of how you live to love your neighbor, but the overall meaning is that you do not seek yourself or pride your self or even covet/desire your neighbor’s things. You are to treat your neighbor as if they were you, or family. You do not cheat, lie, and steal to gain over your neighbor, you do not cast judgements on them where you have no truth. What shows love more than trying to make sure you get along with people, and avoid unlawful dealings? Are you a Christian when you’re stealing from your Boss? Are you a Christian if you sleep with your neighbor’s wife or the bosses wife or someone else in general? And again, these do not stop here. They are just the beginning of learning to live like Christ, and following him leads you down the path where learning to serve other’s becomes a priority in showing the Love of Christ. Do you think you’re so holy that you’ve done all this without error? I don’t think so, we’re all guilty of the sin of inability to fulfill these that is why we need Jesus. He is the only light that has EVER been able to do so, thus as our salavation provides as a way to follow him t hrough serving God more and more how God wants to be worshiped, not in the way Man decides, but in the way God decides.
Here in lies the catch of it all, Jesus would not have been Necessary if it was only about Grace. the fact of the matter lies in the human inability to be fully aware of the need for salavtion. We cannot fulfill the laws, but Jesus can show us how to obey them. He leads into the pathes of Righteousness, for HIS namesake. Jesus it the way the truth and the light, but that does not mean we’ve gotten a free hallpass to do as we please and however we please. Living your life for your own selfish gains is not the path of a CHristian, but rather a path to Hell in a Hand basket. We imitate the Kings of our Heart, if you follow after Jesus you’ll become more like Jesus and these will become natural to you—obedience to the Law. If you follow after the World you will be like Jeroboam, and fall to the sins and have the King of your heart be you…hell will have a spot open for you because you are not a child of the most high. You have to Change to Show the Father, or else you’re not following the Father.
It has been, and it will always be a matter of the heart and your attitudes and actions dictate whose your god.
